Skate Girls of Kabul is a portrait photography exhibition by award winning photographer Jessica Fulford-Dobson. Brought to Qatar by Qatar Museums and exhibited at their gallery space in Katara, Doha. The series showcases Afghan girls and their love for skateboarding and the happiness that the Skateistan, an Afghan charity that provides skate parks as a way to get children from disadvantaged families back into the educational system, has brought to them. We were delighted to be asked to create a brand for the exhibition, promotional material across social media and the exterior graphics for the exhibition.
We produced an energetic and powerful brand that supported the free-flowing spirit, energy and fun of the girls that was captured in the photos. Our social media and online campaign also reflects the whole vibe of the exhibition, that not only showcases the beautiful photography, an exhibition that also consists of a mini skate-park! Whilst being quite bold, the brand has an essence of edginess and grunge which represents the skate board scene across the globe.
